Falsa drink Recipe | Beat the heat!
Beat the heat with this Falsa drink recipe which is cool and refreshing. Falsay, or (Grewia Asiatica), is a species of flowering plant in the Mallow family Malvaceae. It was first found in Varanasi, India, and was taken by Buddhist scholars to other Asian countries and the rest of the world.
Ingredients:
- Falsa 1 kg
- Water 4 cup
- Sugar 2 cups
- Black salt 1 tsp
Method:
- Soak Falsa for 30 min in water. Strain out and mash the fruit before blending and remove seeds.
- Make 2 cups sugar syrup with 2 cups sugar in a 2 cup cup of water.
- Now blend Falsa with chilled water, black salt, sugar syrup with lots of ice.
- Serve with mint leaves on top.
